O Lord, Thy disciple Emperor Constantine, who saw in the sky the Sign of Thy Cross, accepted the call that came straight from Thee, as it happened to Paul, and not from any man. He built his capital and entrusted it to Thy care. Preserve our country in everlasting peace, through the intercession of the Mother of God, for Thou art the Lover of mankind.

Having seen the figure of the Cross in the heavens, / and like Paul not having received his call from men, O Lord, / Your apostle among rulers, the Emperor Constantine, / has been set by Your hand as ruler over the Imperial City / that he preserved in peace for many years, / through the prayers of the Theotokos, O only lover of mankind.

Today Constantine and his mother Helen / reveal the precious Cross, / the weapon of the faithful / against their enemies. / For our sakes, it has been shown to be a great sign, and fearsome in battle.

Chipul Crucii Tale pe cer văzându-l şi ca Pavel chemarea nu de la oameni luând, cel între împăraţi Apostolul Tău, Doamne, împărăteasca cetate în mâinile Tale o a pus. Pe care pazeşte-o totdeauna în pace, pentru rugăciunile Născătoarei de Dumnezeu, Unule Iubitorule de oameni.

Fecioara astăzi...
Constantin astăzi, cu maica sa Elena, Crucea a arătat, lemnul cel preacinstit, care este ruşinarea tuturor iudeilor şi armă credincioşilor împăraţi asupra celor potrivnici. Că pentru noi s-a arătat semn mare, şi în războaie înfricoşător.
