Saint EPHREM le Nouvel-Apparu, moine, martyr par la main des Musulmans en 1426 après huit mois de supplices cruels, révélé en 1950 seulement, dans des circonstances similaires à celles de la révélation du saint hiéromartyr Raphaël de Mytilène (cf. 9 avril) (1426). (Acathiste traduit en français par les moines du monastère Saint-Antoine-le-Grand de Saint-Laurent-en-Royans et publié dans le livret Apparitions etmiracles de Saint Ephrem le Nouvel-Apparu.)

You shone forth like the sun on the mountain of Amomon, O God-bearer. / Through martyrdom you departed unto God. / You endured the invasion of the barbarians, / O Ephraim, Great Martyr of Christ. / Therefore, you pour forth grace forever upon those who devoutly call upon you. / Glory to Him Who gave you strength. / Glory to Him Who magnified you. / Glory to Him Who, through you, grants healing to all.
